Harper Spangler’s husband died two years ago, and ever since his passing, she’s had an urge to travel outside the city to clear her head and center herself. One night, while driving in secluded Northern Minnesota, a deer jumps out in front of her on the road, causing a wreck and knocking her unconscious.  When she comes to, a gorgeous hunk of a man is tending to her wounds.  

 

Maxwell Locke is an ex-military, rural innkeeper.  When he witnesses Harper’s wreck, the pair become intertwined in more ways than one.

 

Will the pair find common ground and ride off into the sunset?  Or will Harper be held captive by the man the locals call the Innkeeper?
